About Me I am a student, daughter, sister, wife and lover; all these and more. I love my family deeply.
Music Pretty much anything other than techno. Favorites include modern country and soft rock (especially from the 60's and 80's)
Movies I will watch anything other than horror, am a sap for romantic comedies and love B rated movies. I know I have no taste, but I like them anyway.
TV Never watch it, exept maybe Olympic sports. and we became addicted to Heroes...
Books I love reading. My personal preference is for fantasy and trashy novels, but I enjoy serious books as well.
Likes Rain, growing things, candles, baklava, sensitive guys, interesting girls, and sunsets. Oh and did I mention the ocean, the main reason I wish I lived in Scotland.
Dislikes Hot summer days, spinach and broccoli, pea soup, cleaning, and boxelder bugs. (Really should say bugs in general)
Hobbies Reading, artsy crafts, cooking, and watching the plants grow despite my brown thumb.
Vices Procrastination, forgetful and inclined to be self-degrading (still working on this.)

Really quickly I wanted to say hi.  I am at work and need to get back from my "break".  I hope everyone has a blessed week, and a good memorial day to all.  Remembrance of those we love is always important.  Bright Lady bless your path and guide you today.

    Yes, It is done!

I did graduate on April 26th.  The thesis was finished and rated an A-, not too shabby.  I pulled As and A-s out of my final semester and would have graduated with honors if I had met the credit limit for the college.  You had to have 60 credits at my college to graduate with honors, and I had only 55 earned here.  You see I transferred in, and those credits don't count toward my GPA.  Anyway, it is over and after only 7 years of college I finally recieved a bachelor's degree, took bloody long enough!  So now I am working nearly full time and looking for a full time job to take over as this one must end and the close of the summer.  It is lovely to be out of school.  I can read whatever I like, and take my time about it.  Which is exceedingly pleasant.  The family came out and celebrated and I still feel a little trill whenever I consider it.

    Hurray!

    Long Days until...

Monday, April 7, 2008, 08:50 AM MST [General]

Graduation!  I will be graduating this spring if I don't screw things up.  I have high hopes that this week will be filled with energy and productive.  If not, I'm in real trouble.  I have had motivational problems all semester, yet they just seem to get worse.  Procrastination and sheer stubbornness will do me in if I'm not careful.  Spring is adding its usual distracting presence to the mix, the maiden may be lovely but she's not that great for concentration.  A singer named Celia has a song the chorus of which keeps running through my head,

It's really no big deal I'm just an everyday goddess,

Doing all my goddess duties, trying to find a way,

I am the maiden and the mother and the crone,

But it's really no big deal, it's just another day.

It is a conforting litany.  I will succeed.  I need only to will myself to the end of all this school.  (If you can't tell, all this writing is to convince myself.  Sometimes it helps to put things down in physical format and words are powerful.)

    Thanks for listening.

    Oestara

Monday, March 24, 2008, 01:04 PM MST [General]

I attended an oestara celebration for the first time this year.  It was quite fun sharing the time with a good friend and the wind was brisk and not too cold.  We went on an oestara egg hunt and everything.  Haven't done that in a while.  Happy spring everyone, the maiden stirs even here with all our snow!
